Tears came to my eyes as I read this poem that had just come to me a few days earlier. Having lost a parent this year the words were and are so comforting. I could not help but share it with anyone whom visits here.

Spending Christmas with Jesus

I see the countless Christmas trees
Around the world below,
With tiny lights like heaven's stars
Reflecting in the snow.

The sight is so spectacular
Please wipe away that tear
For I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear
But earthly music can't compare
With the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you
The joy their voices bring
For it's beyond description
To hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me,
Trust God and have no fear
For I'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.

I can't tell you of the splendor
Or the peace here in this place.
Can you imagine Christmas
With our Savior, face to face?

May God uplift your spirit
As I tell Him of your love
Then pray for one another
As you lift your eyes above.

So let your hearts be joyful
And let your spirits sing
For I'm spending Christmas in Heaven
And I'm walking with the King!

More Christmas memories! Ring those bells! Another ornament that is from my grandparents. The ornaments of older times seemed to have more detail on them. There were other bells of different colour and smaller. Not all had detail such as this one and were just a smooth finish. Unique all the same. Along with other ornaments I remember this one hanging on their tree with the tree lights shining on them. Bringing the older ornaments in along with the new with memories ot the past and present!

Thinking of Christmas' past with special ornaments that have been saved down through the years. As you go through your ornaments you may have one like this or one very similiar that brings back memories. This ornament in the picture being from my grandparents. Imaging the stories it could tell if it could talk and share times at Christmas' with my grandparents! I remember when I was little sitting near the tree with the tree lights on and looking at the ornaments on their tree before opening gifts and thinking of how unique each ornament was! This one having the indent just on the one side coloured in pinks and blues on silver. Others on the tree had their own unique shapes and colours.
